October 22nd: Aztlan Community Mural Project Introductory Workshop

In conjunction with Returning to Aztlan: Revisited, the dA Center for the Arts is inviting the public to participate in a community mural project. Renowned muralists and art educators have been asked to lead workshops on this project.  They will be aiding in the development, design and execution of two murals to be located within the hallway of the dA.

Join us on Saturday, October 22nd for an introductory workshop lead by Wayne Healy, Eloy Torres and John Valadez. This free workshop covering the history of public murals is open to all community members. The project will continue with semi-weekly hands-on workshops lead by Eloy Torres. Junior High and High School students within the community will be guided though all stages of the project which will end with its public unveiling in January 2012.
