The dA Center for the Arts is proud to present 90’s Toon Takeover on exhibit July 13th through July 27th, 2013. Presented by the Ink Bombers, 90’s Toon Takeover displays the pop culture inspired work of over fifty artists. The dA will host its opening reception on Saturday, July 13th, 2013, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
90’s Toon Takeover breaks the boundaries between iconic pop culture cartoon characters and art. The exhibit features a number of artists using a diverse number of techniques to bring their rendition of beloved 90’s cartoon characters to life.
In 2007 Danny Arias, Charlie Lopez, and Rick Ramirez established Ink Bombers as an art movement in San Gabriel Valley, California. Ink Bombers are evolving an impressive pop culture movement in San Gabriel that is quickly expanding. They provide a diverse number of professional design services ranging from wall art to digital design. The Ink Bombers mission is “to create a legacy in any generation through their artistic expression.“
